Recommended Local Restaurants

This is a quaint Chic's Beach neighborhood restaurant. Serving great meals for over a decade now. Specializing in authentic Italian cuisine, the chalkboard features an array of flavorful chicken, veal, beef and seafood dishes made with the freshest ingredients. No matter what you get, you will not be disappointed! No water views. 

Two convenient locations in Va Beach. This restaurant has been a local favorite for years as well. Great italian dishes ranging from chicken to seafood. You can't go wrong here either. They have a lot of specials in the off season. No water views. 

As well as incredible food, Bella Monte also houses Enoteca- which is a wine repository. You can join in on wine tasting and purchase some of the finest wines at responsible costs. They also have a gift shop that is worth going to just by itself. No water views. 

Hands down my FAVORITE mexican joint in our area. Locally owned and as fresh as they come. This is a SMALL place so make sure you are not in a rush or get there early. The food is worth the wait. Their guac is the best! Everything on the menu is delicious! You can't go wrong here! 

This restaurant has great service. great prices, and great food! They have plenty of seating and should be able to accommodate your larger parties with no problem. Never had a bad item on the menu here! No water views. 

Super fun atmosphere that every kid is sure to love. Bumper stickers and decals all over the walls. A coastal, surfer vibe for sure! Excellent FRESH mexican here. Their chucnky guac is our fav! Great fish tacos. Every item is sure to fill you up. Very casual. Very close to the oceanfront so they have a wide variety of dress. No water views. 

Two locations- my favorite is the one on West Great Neck simply because it is closer to the beach house and has more of a family feel. The food is great at both and they do have great cocktails as well. Gets really busy on the weekends- get there early. No water views. 

Regionally inspired brunch and dinner fare. Parking can be challenging here but it is within walking distance of the beach house- less than a mile. Chicken and waffles are a favorite here!  No water views. 

My personal favorite simply because of their fast, friendly service. Nothing fancy here just good food and good service. If you go in, tell them Dana sent you! No water views. 

Don't be fooled by the small building and lack of inside seating. They do have outdoor seating. This business is family owned and you will NOT find better bbq, ribs, brisket, and/or smoked turkey in Va Beach. Wait til you try all the sides- the coleslaw, the beans, potato salad, and their seasonal creations (mac & cheese, roasted veggies, etc)! You will thank me! 

I love to support this place. What an incredible MISSION. Read more of their story HERE. Recommendations- MOIST brisket (not regular), melt in your mouth fries, and my kids say...don't skip the Mac & Cheese when they have it. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. 

This is a FAN favorite. It's about 15 minutes from the beachhouse-closer to the Oceanfront but definitely worth the trip! Enjoy the outdoor atmosphere at this adorable ice cream shop. Our friend Joey Launi owns it and it has been so fun watching his dream come to life! This is, hands down, our FAVORITE ice cream joint in VB.  Every flavor is amazing!  And check out his Donut Shop/Truck in his trailer on the premises. 

This is super close to the beachhouse. It has limited indoor seating. Sea Salt Brickle with Caramel Swirl is my absolute fav. The Goat Cheese with Blueberry Swirl tastes just like Blueberry Cheesecake in an ice cream. They do have VEGAN options. 

Sweet Frog allows you to indulge without the guilt-go the frozen yogurt route. You can get lots of your favorite healthy (and not so healthy) toppings to add to your creation. They do have at least one non-dairy option everyday. Enjoy plenty of indoor seating with limited outdoor seating.
